Over 40% of all pregnancies in Uganda are unwanted. In Uganda, women who are uneducated, rural, with low economic status, only 15% of are using birth control. In rural secondary schools, 43% of girls reported being ‘very unwilling’ during their 1st sexual experience (that’s RAPE). One organization is trying to make a difference for these women and children, by bringing education and resources to the remote villages of the Mukono District.

Word In Deed Ministries is a non-profit doing educational scholarships, medical outreach and missions in Africa, while sharing the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Local women in Palm Beach County have joined forces and will be hosting a fundraising event on April 14th.
